The deadline for responding to the United States Department of Agriculture’s 2022 Census of Agriculture is Feb. 6.
The census is the “only source of uniform, comprehensive and impartial agriculture data for every county and state in the nation,” according to the USDA.
“In my 20 years of work in agriculture, I can tell you that the value and impact of ag census data affects everyone,” says Chavonda Jacobs-Young, PhD undersecretary for research, education and economics, and USDA’s chief scientist. “We want to make sure that everyone who makes up our strong and diverse ag community is counted. The Census of Agriculture is your voice, your future and your opportunity.”
